Looking for a refreshing gluten free treat that's ready in just a few minutes? This Gluten Free Raspberry Banana Milkshake is thick, creamy and packed with fruity flavour. Made with ripe bananas, juicy raspberries, dairy-free raspberry ice cream and soya milk, it's a delicious drink that's perfect for sunny days, dessert or an afternoon pick-me-up.

This easy recipe is naturally gluten free, making it ideal for anyone with coeliac disease or following a gluten free diet. I use Swedish Glace Raspberry Ice Cream to make this dairy free but you could use other brands.

Also, if you don't need dairy free, feel free to switch the milk to whatever you would usually use, and also the ice cream. Either a regular gluten free vanilla ice cream or a raspberry ripple would work well. Or twist it up slightly by using strawberry ice cream.

Here are some tips and FAQs about Gluten Free Ice Cream Milkshake

Yes. Almond milk, coconut milk or certified gluten free oat milk all work well in this recipe.

Not at all, just switch the milk and ice cream for your usual dairy alternatives.

Yes. Using dairy free raspberry ice cream and soya milk makes this recipe completely vegan.

Absolutely, switch to strawberries, blueberries or skip berries completely and add more banana if you prefer.

Absolutely. Frozen raspberries or frozen banana slices create an even thicker, colder milkshake.

Absolutely, add some extra milk and fruit to compensate for the ice cream. It will be a thinner milkshake but just as delicious.

Method

  1. Slice up the banana and place in a blender, add in most of the raspberries. Reserve a few for the top if you like.

  2. Add in the dairy free raspberry dessert, or regular gluten free ice cream if you don't need it vegan/dairy free along with your milk of choice. I used soya as the ice cream is soya based so they go well together, but you could use any dairy free milk you like.

  3. Blend for 10-20 seconds until the fruit is blended and pour into 2 glasses.

  4. To finish, you can top with aerosol cream, sprinkles and even a couple of raspberries if you like, or you can drink it straight as it is!
