New Iceland Gluten Free Range

Back to all blogs.

Iceland have released a range of gluten free products in their freezers, mostly in Food Warehouse stores, the range includes lasagne and chicken burgers and are fairly decent prices compared to some other free from lines.

New Iceland Gluten Free Range

This week Iceland have got there own gluten free range in, a long overdue thing I think when all other major supermarkets added there own lines years ago.

Unfortunately the new My Free range only appear to be in limited stores, mainly The Food Warehouse branches but I have heard they are in some of the bigger normal Iceland stores.

The range is quite nice, not the largest but a variety of different things in there.

Beef Lasagne £2.75
Hot and Spicy Chicken Steaks £2
Chicken Nuggets £2.50
Cod Fishcakes £2
Chicken Goujons £2.50
Chicken Burgers £2
Vegetable Burgers £2
Garlic Baguette £1.50

In the Vegan section (which they now have a freezer even in smaller stores, apparently Vegan takes priority over us with Coeliac) you can also find gluten and dairy free ice cream cones which are new in, they are the only gluten free item in the Vegan section though.

At the moment they only have frozen free from and nothing on the shelves, it would be fab to see if anything else appears now they have this new frozen range.

Has anyone tried the new Iceland products yet? Let us know your thoughts.

Nice to see that Iceland have introduced a GF range! But, I would love to see a proper fish range! Not just fish cakes, but Cod or Haddock, breaded or battered fillets or fish fingers, or even Pollock and Basa, and how about Scampi? These items are difficult to find on the shelves in supermarkets, and the cost of them is prohibitive!

Come on Iceland get more of a range for us coeliac and gluten sufferers I myself get fed up looking at the ingredients on each item making sure it contains no wheat etc i like to go into a shop (Iceland) and pick up an item which already states gluten free, so we need more free range foods

I allways shop in Iceland and agree with all the comments about introducing more glutton free in store. There are loads of vegetarian foods and they choose to be but when you have celiac we have no choice we have to be glutton free. So please iceland listen to your customers and lower prices would help as well.

From my understanding Iceland removed the range due to lack of sales.
So pleased you have started doing Gluten free foods.
