UK Gluten Free Advent Calendars and Christmas Chocolates 2025

Back to all blogs.

If you are unsure which chocolate advent calendars and festive chocolates are Coeliac safe this year, then look no further! Here is a list of all the gluten free advent calendars and choccies I could find in the supermarkets from Kitkat Santas to Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Calendars, there is so much to satisfy your sweet tooth this festive season.

UK Gluten Free Advent Calendars and Christmas Chocolates 2025

Are you seeking out which chocolate advent you can have as a Coeliac this year. Well look no further I have jotted down all the ones I have found that are gluten free across the supermarkets.

There will be ones missing as I don't have time to check everywhere, the likes of Home Bargain and Aldi may have some others in which I haven't checked, always worth having a look about. And remember to double check everything, you never know when a factory might suddenly change the labelling. As of 1st November 2025, these are all current don't contain gluten nor have a may contain warning for gluten.

Like last year there isn't a huge amount of advent calendars around that are gluten free, but there isn't a vast range of chocolate advent calendars about anyway, with there being so many alternatives to chocolate ones about.

I have also included Lindt one of the list who state on their FAQ that where barley malt extract is the only gluten ingredient then the chocolate falls below 20ppm which is the legal level for gluten free and the safe limit for Coeliacs under UK law. Use your own judgement on that one. They are classed as safe for Coeliacs under UK law but I completely get why some still avoid them.

I have also included dairy free chocolate advent calendars further down and you can find more dairy free Christmas chocolate choices on the supermarkets blogs I have done. I will pop the links at the bottom of this blog.

Scroll past the advent calendars if you are looking for those special festive choccies, you will find a list of Christmas chocs that are fine for Coeliacs as well as dairy free one that are in the free from sections at the bottom of this blog. I've also included a little section for gluten free selection boxes I have spotted too!

When it comes to the Christmas chocolates that pop up each year, there are a fair few gluten free choices. This blog is only listing the chocolates that come out (or are so much more popular at Christmas, your everyday. standard chocolates which are out all year round you will find in my gluten free chocolate and sweets blog).

As always, in your big tubs of chocolates, Quality Streets and Roses are gluten free and all Heroes EXCEPT Dinky Deckers are safe (Cadbury have confirmed they are all made on separate lines and the barley in the ingredients and the may contain are both for the dinky decker). The same applies to the Tesco exclusive box which has the flake instead of an éclair, just the dinky decker not safe. None of the celebrations are safe for coeliacs as they are all produced on the same line, including those you may think are safe as the standard bars are.

If you like a KitKat, sorry the normal KitKats still aren't gluten free but the festive friends ones are as they have been for the last few years. Also if you miss Ferrero Rocher, while the normal size ones aren't gluten free the giant hollow Rocher is, so worth sampling!
