Gluten Free Chocolate and Sweets UK
Did you know there was so many gluten free chocolates and sweets around in the UK? I am a major chocoholic, so I think I may be the queen of knowing what is and isn't gluten free when it comes to the delightful chocolate treats and it is only right I share that info with my fellow Coeliacs.

I first did a list in 2015 when Coeliac Sanctuary was just a baby and it always proved a big hit to my fellow sweet toothed gluten free friends, it is now 2021 and time we had a nice up to date list as so many things have changed.

In late 2019/2020 Hotel Chocolat divulged that none of these chocolate was gluten free, except the dedicated overly priced (and to be honest, awful tasting) free from range they released, all the rest was a may contain gluten.

At the end of 2020 Thorntons also changed their packaging and made virtually every product a may contain gluten to the dismay of Coeliacs preparing for Christmas! I say virtually... I can't find a single item on their website that doesn't either contain or carry a may contain warning anymore including all bars, bags and boxes!

There are still plenty other gluten free chocolate and sweets floating around the UK though and below you can find a list of what is currently gluten free (this means they don't contain gluten ingredients and also carry no may contain warning on the packaging)

If you miss smarties, which aren't gluten free, why not give Aldi's Dairy Fine Choc 'Ums a go which are a great gluten free alternative (sorry I haven't included Aldi on here as not been to a store, however I know these are gluten free!)
