Looking for a gluten free advent calendar you can enjoy as a coeliac? I've rounded up the gluten free advent calendars, Christmas chocolate, selection boxes and festive treats I've found in UK supermarkets and shops for 2026.
The range of gluten free advent calendars is unfortunately still fairly small, but I've included everything I've found so far, including dairy free and vegan gluten free options further down the page. I've also rounded up some festive chocolates and gluten free selection boxes for those who want something a little different this Christmas.
This list was checked on 4 October 2026. At the time of checking, the products listed below did not contain gluten ingredients or carry a may contain gluten/wheat warning based on their current allergen information.
There may be other gluten free advent calendars I've missed, particularly from shops such as Aldi and Home Bargains, so it's always worth checking what's available in your local stores too.
Please always check the packaging yourself before buying or eating. Ingredients, allergen information and manufacturing processes can change, and the packaging in store should always be treated as the most up-to-date information.
If you're not looking for an advent calendar, keep scrolling! I've also included gluten free Christmas chocolates, festive treats and selection boxes, plus a section of dairy free gluten free advent calendars and Christmas chocolate.
What about Lindt?
I've included some Lindt advent calendars and Christmas chocolates because Lindt states in its FAQ that where barley malt extract is the only gluten-containing ingredient, its products contain less than 20 ppm gluten.
Under UK regulations, “gluten free” means a product contains no more than 20 ppm (mg/kg) of gluten. However, I know some people with coeliac disease prefer to avoid products containing barley malt extract altogether, so whether you're comfortable eating these products is ultimately your own choice. I've included them based on the information Lindt currently provides.

This year the Haribo Advent Calendar isn't gluten free it has some sweets in that contain wheat, last year it was just star mix and tangfastics which some of were find depending on production factory. See this blog for more on may contains on star mix. Always double check!
Also beware on which Dairy Milk advent calendars you choose, some are fine others are not, I have listed the ones that are ok but there is also one with a full bar of Minter Wonderland which carries a may contain warning.
Toblerone this year also have a may contain despite bars being fine, in previous years this one has had no may contain.
If you need dairy free as well as gluten free, there are a few choices of advent calendars as usual but most places seem to be stocking the Nomo or Moo Free ones over having their own this year.

When it comes to the Christmas chocolates that pop up each year, there are a fair few gluten free choices. This blog is only listing the chocolates that come out (or are so much more popular) at Christmas. Your everyday, standard chocolates which are out all year round you will find in my gluten free chocolate and sweets blog.
As always, in your big tubs of chocolates, Quality Streets and Roses are gluten free and all Heroes EXCEPT Dinky Deckers are safe (Cadbury have confirmed they are all made on separate lines and the barley in the ingredients and the may contain are both for the dinky decker). None of the celebrations are safe for coeliacs as they are all produced on the same line, including those you may think are safe as the standard bars are.
If you like a KitKat, sorry the normal KitKats still aren't gluten free but the festive friends ones are as they have been for the last few years. Also if you miss Ferrero Rocher, while the normal size ones aren't gluten free the giant hollow Rocher is, so worth sampling!
