The supermarkets are getting so many delicious gluten free goodies in Christmas. If you follow me on facebook then you will probably have already seen me post about all these, with Sainsburys coming in store back in late August! Asda and Tesco have only joined the party in the last week or so though, a much more acceptable time to release them!

Please remember these are only the specifically free from products that are out, there will be other suitable products in the regular aisles, such as chocolates (if you don't need dairy free), crisps and even the fridge products

At the moment neither Aldi or Lidl have their gluten free options in, but if I remember correctly last year Aldi didn't stock their usual gluten free mince pies or Christmas pudding, and Lidl was very late in bringing in their gluten free mince pies, so I guess only time will tell if they get any in this year.

Waitrose also don't seem to have theirs yet (correct me if I am wrong, I've not paid a visit to my nearest store to check!) but they do usually appear a lot later than everyone else's gluten free Christmas products.

So, let us have a look at what gluten free delights are on offer so far, personally I think Asda have nailed it this year with their variety, but all still have a distinct lack of savoury choices. It is possible they might come in later as the "party food" which are usually the more savoury options, don't tend to appear until around November time.

There does seem to be a variety of mince pies this year from regular gluten free to frangipane topped and slices which makes a nice change. It is also nice to see a couple of places have a gluten free yule log too when for the past year or so only Tesco have had this.

My personal favourites this year have to be the dairy free orange segments in Asda, the nearest alternative to a proper Chocolate Orange and Sainsburys Free From Sticky Toffee Tarts which are divine!
