Rub the dairy free spread into the flour until you get a crumb consistency.

Stir in the the caster sugar. Beat together the milk, vanilla extract and the egg and then stir into the flour mix.

Grease a baking tray and drop spoonfuls of the mix onto the tray, should make 8 or 9, brush with beaten egg and then bake in oven for 12-15 minutes on gas mark 7/220c until cooked.
