I love a Brunning and Price pub and Old Hall is one I've been a few times now. They aren't the cheapest but the food is fabulous. They are Coeliac UK accredited and the menu always has plenty of options, in the past I've had pie, mum who is also Coeliac has had fish and chips which are cooked separate and this time I had the bacon chop. Always plenty of choices and even desserts, I had a lovely apple and cinnamon pie with custard. The staff are always pleasant and helpful too, though when busy they can be a little on the slow side! Still a favourite of ours though!

Visiting the area for a few days and checked on the app for somewhere to eat. This pub looked great at first glance and that was indeed the case. It was busy for a Monday evening, always a good sign! I would suggest booking a table just in case. There was plenty of choice, not just the usual suspects and I was surprised to see that both of the pies on offer were GF so took the opportunity to have the cheese and onion version. The pastry was light and tasty, with plenty of delicious filling, the only things I couldn't finish were the chips....I wanted pudding. My non-GF family had the pork belly and beef stroganoff, and the same cheese and onion pie as well. All plates were clear at the end of the meal so we can safely say everyone enjoyed their dinner. The puddings on offer included smaller versions with a drink which suited me perfectly. I plumped for sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, just right to finish off the meal. The pub had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and professional. When we are back this way we'll have no hesitation on returning. A five star experience 😀

We’ve eaten here a few times and the food has been really good as well as the service. The outdoor area is lovely and such a characteristic pub with the old mill.

Beautiful place if you're not worried about the quality of food. We would not eat here again, food tepid and very average.

I am Coeliac. We have eaten here twice and on both occasions I had a coeliac attack. We only went back the second time on the basis that anyone can make a mistake and the location and ambience are very good. We usually find that if there is a GF menu then I do not have a problem. We will never eat here ever again!

We've eaten in about a dozen of B&P establishments. Excellent food, very GF friendly and all staff fully aware. Plenty of choice and their own beer is Wheat free. Not had a bad experience anywhere.
