I love a cafe where you can walk in and not have to explain yourself, those cafes are few and far between though. While Marmalade isn't completely gluten free they are close to it and you really don't have to ask much, they completely get it and you really do a double take when they say all the cakes are gluten free.

I am Coeliac and went in this morning and ordered off the panini menu, although mine was gluten free bread. I had chicken, bacon and cheddar toasted sandwich with a pot of coleslaw and salad. I also had a pot of tea

Visiting Chester for the day and came across Marmalade, a lovely little cafe. To my delight all the cakes were gf. Having enjoyed an enormous slice of cake and good coffee, I returned a couple of hours later for a late lunch - delicious gf sandwich accompanied by a fresh looking and tasting salad. My friend, who is not a coeliac, had a brilliant lunch and cake too. Thanks for making being a coeliac normal and not an issue.

Visited marmalade on my recent trip to chester. Ended up eating here 3 times in the 2 days we were there and purchased some of the lovely cakes to take away! It was just that good. The staff are very helpful and I didn't once feel awkward asking for gluten free options. Every item I ordered was perfect, couldn't fault it at all. It will definitely be my go to when ever I'm in Chester
