Really Easy Gluten Free Chocolate Easter Sundae Bowl

This recipe was featured in

Ingredients

1 medium chocolate easter egg (I used Creme Egg - the 138g box one, the egg in this is 100g which is around the size you need)
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 Creme Egg
2 Mini Kitkat Bunnies
2 gluten free chocolate brownies (I used Tesco Free From)
8 Mini Eggs
A good squirt of aerosol cream
Squeeze of chocolate sauce

Method

  1. Split the shell in half and use these as your bowl, of course you could skip this one altogether and use a sundae glass or a bowl instead!

  2. Lie your shell down, hollow side up and scoop in 2 good scoops of vanilla ice cream (or chocolate if you want to go chocolate overload). Any gluten free vanilla ice cream is absolutely fine, I use cheap supermarket soft scoop.

  3. Chop the brownies into bite size pieces and scatter over the top of the two bowls.

  4. Squirt some UHT aerosol cream onto one side of your egg shell.

  5. Unwrap your creme egg and cut in half, you may find it easier to use a hot knife to do this, just warm the blade over a stove top so it melts through the chocolate.

  6. Lean half a creme egg and a kitkat bunny against your cream then scatter over a few mini eggs.

  7. Finish off with a drizzle of chocolate sauce!

NB: With one egg you can make two bowls - I would suggest you split one bowl between two people but if you are feeling particularly indulgent you can of course eat one to yourself!

Why not play with the gluten free chocolate used too, it doesn't have to be just for Easter!
