Free From Christmas 2017 - M&S, Aldi, Waitrose and More

In previous blogs we have posted about Tesco and Sainsburys fab Christmas range, which we followed up with Asda and Morrisons offerings. All the other big names are beginning to follow with their own gluten free offerings.

Quite surprisingly Aldi and Lidl (well kind of when it comes to Lidl) have chipped in with gluten free offerings this year, something they haven't done in previous years. Marks and Spencer of course have their range though not as extensive as we could have hoped. Waitrose are trailing behind but do have a selection, it appears to be smaller than any of the other major supermarkets though. Holland and Barratt have a fair selection of options available and following up the rear is Iceland with very limited options but still a few bits none the less.

Aldi
The range of gluten free items is fairly standard but they are cheaper than most of the other supermarkets, there are a couple of frozen party items in for Christmas which don't contain gluten either, but only a few bits. It is nice to see Moo Free products in Aldi though!

Lidl
We have only managed to find Gluten free mince pies, though whether other stores have any other options I don't know, maybe one to keep an eye on since they have mince pies.

Marks and Spencer
When it comes to shelf products, items are pretty standard however there is a good selection in the freezer when it comes to stuffed joints and sides. We are in no doubt that when the party food comes in there will be a good selection there too, there always is. We hope the mini Yorkshire Puddings with Cranberry makes a comeback! They also have the turkey made without sandwich back in too!

Waitrose
Waitrose used to be good when it come to gluten free but these days they barely compete, maybe more will come in when the party food etc makes an appearance, however we only managed to find puddings, cake and mince pies.

Iceland
Gluten free isn't Icelands forte, however they do have puddings and mince pies available.

Holland and Barratt
Most of Holland and Barratts range is chocolate based but there are cake and puddings in there as well as shortbread, nothing particularly special but we do like the look of the no added sugar advent calendar, something you don't see often.
