Gluten free at The Waterwheel Inn in St Austell

Inn, restaurant and bar set in a beautiful wooded valley near St Austell, just a short drive from the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The chef is knowledgeable about Coeliac disease and most of the menu can be made gluten free. Food is freshly prepared on the premises using local ingredients, including fresh fish, seafood and chargrilled steaks, with an à la carte menu and daily specials. The restaurant also features a dedicated gluten free fryer.

Tina

We had the most wonderful meal here with good friends recently. Almost the entire menu can be done gluten free and the staff are all very knowledgeable. Once we had ordered our meal, we were invited to explore the gardens at the back and wow, it's most definitely worth doing so. They have created a beautiful water garden. When called back in for our food, every mouthful was exquisite. If you're in the area, definitely book and go. You will love it as much as we did.
