Family-run restaurant and deli overlooking Mousehole Harbour in Cornwall, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner using locally sourced Cornish produce. A huge amount of the menu can be made gluten free, including gluten free pasties, fish and chips, cakes and desserts such as lemon meringue pie. Fries and battered fish are cooked in a dedicated gluten free fryer. Staff are knowledgeable about coeliac requirements and cross contamination. The downstairs deli serves pasties, cakes and hot drinks, while the upstairs restaurant offers a seasonal menu showcasing fresh seafood, often naming the boat that caught the fish. Part of the St Austell Brewery family, the Ship Inn is a historic harbourside pub in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole, near Penzance. They offer a separate gluten free menu with a good selection of pub classics including gluten free battered fish and chips, burgers with gluten free buns, pie, steak and mussels. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and staff are knowledgeable about allergens and cross contamination. The pub also has stylish rooms available for overnight stays and is dog friendly.
