Well what a joke of a restaurant! Being Coeliac, I have had a takeaway from here before and was really looking to eating in with my partner on Valentine’s Day. As we all know, GF Chinese is not as common as other foods and had heard good things prior.
Arriving at 7:15, service was slow, but we were seated and eventually got drinks and ordered the first course at 7:45. At 8:30 the manager came over to apologise for the delay as there was a mix up in the kitchen and they hadn’t received our order. She offered a free drink and said they were preparing as we speak and it would be out shortly. 20 mins later, still waiting, table next to us was receiving their food. At 9pm we decided to give up and spoke to the manager again and said we were leaving. She apologised and told us fair enough… Tried to explain it was our first night out since having our 2nd child 9 months ago, didn’t really want to listen, and so we left!
I have read reviews before going about full gluten free menus, but there wasn’t a separate menu anymore, and appeared to be changing names to ‘Four Seasons’ according to new menu and takeaway leaflets inside. We had to wait for the manager to take our order as the waitresses were all fairly new and did not know what was GF and what was not.
We were very patient and throughout but the service was appalling. It wasn’t overly busy in the restaurant and there was an empty table next to us the whole time we were there. I have never been to a restaurant before and left nearly 2 hours later having not eaten.
