Full Description

Planning a trip with coeliac disease means thinking beyond flights and accommodation, you also need a reliable way to explain your dietary requirements. Although translation apps and AI can be helpful, they aren't always accurate when it comes to medical dietary needs, and they depend on your phone being charged and connected when you're ordering food.

This Portuguese Coeliac Gluten Free Travel Translation Card makes communicating your gluten free requirements straightforward. It features both European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese translations, making it suitable whether you're travelling to Portugal, Brazil or another Portuguese-speaking destination. Designed to fit neatly inside your wallet, purse or passport holder, the laminated, credit card-sized format is easy to carry and ready to use whenever you're eating out, shopping for food or speaking with hotel staff.

Translated by native Portuguese speakers, the card clearly explains coeliac disease, the need to follow a strict gluten free diet and the importance of avoiding cross contamination. Simply hand the card to restaurant staff, chefs or food vendors to help them understand your dietary requirements and reduce the risk of misunderstandings.

Perfect for holidays, cruises, city breaks and business trips, this gluten free travel card provides extra confidence when dining away from home. Whether you're exploring Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, Madeira, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo or Salvador, you'll have both Portuguese language variants available to help explain your dietary needs clearly wherever your travels take you.

I have Coeliac Disease and follow a strict gluten free diet. I cannot eat any foods which contain gluten, small amounts can make me sick.

I can not eat Wheat, durum, semolina, couscous, bulgur, rye, barley, oats

I can eat Fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, rice, potatoes, corn, egg, cheese, milk, beans and nuts

Cross contamination is also an issue, please prepare gluten free separate. Cooking my food in fryers also used for gluten containing products, sharing toasters and preparing food on contaminated surfaces can all make me very sick.

Thank you for helping me eat safely.

I've used a translation on my phone before and have been asked if milk or cheese is okay (sigh) so these handy little cards will be great to hand over to staff to take to the chef. They feel as though they can handle a lot od use as well which is good.

I haven't used these particular cards yet but previously bought the Greek language card which I used several time on holiday in Crete last year. I feel a lot safer when eating out abroad knowing that I can communicate my dietary needs in the appropriate language. These cards are good quality and fit perfectly in a purse or wallet. Excellent and useful product.
