Cut up the sweet potato and boil for about 20 mins until softened.

In the meantime, drain the canned chickpeas and tip into a food processor along with red onion, mixed spice, crushed chillis and the bread (broken up).

Once the potato is cooked add this into the processor and blitz well, don't blitz so it becomes smooth, leave it so it still has some chunky bits for a better texture.

Form the mix into 4 burgers, use a little flour on surfaces and on your hands to stop them sticking.
5.Chill for 20 mins and them fry them. Serve with salad (or chips)
