Gluten Free Oaty Baked Chocolate Waffles

These aren't like normal waffles, these baked oat based waffles make a gorgeous low calorie breakfast treat with a light chocolatey flavour and piled with fruit it is sure to keep you going until lunch time. We use sweetener in these to keep sugar content low but you could switch to sugar if you so wish too!

Ingredients

40g gluten free oats (or rice flakes)
2tsp cocoa powder
1tbsp stevia (or other sweetener)
2tsp Sweet Freedom Choc Spread
1 egg
1tbsp greek yogurt
  • Preparation Time: 5 Mins
  • Cooking Time: 25 Mins
  • This recipe makes 1 serving

Method

1. Place the oats in a blender and blend until fine.

2. Pour the oats into a bowl and add all the other ingredients, mix well until combined.

3. Using a silicone waffle mould, pour the mix into two of the waffle cut outs and then place in an oven preheated to gas mark 5 and bake for about 20-25 mins until firm to the touch.

4. Remove from the moulds and serve with fruit of choice.
