Hummus doesn't have to be a savoury side, it is also a great sweet option which is naturally gluten free and you can serve with loads of different fruits. This chocolate hummus is also naturally Vegan and sesame free, perfect served with super sweet strawberries or pineapple fingers!

Gluten Free Sesame Free Vegan Chocolate Hummus

Ingredients

400g chickpeas
3.5tbsp cocoa powder
4.5tbsp maple syrup
1tsp vanilla extract
0.5tsp chilli powder

Method

1. Drain canned chickpeas and pour the chickpeas into a food processor.

2. Add all the other ingredients to the chickpeas. If you want a more traditional hummus which contains tahini, simply add 1tbsp of tahini paste to the rest of the ingredients (be aware that this won't be sesame free though)

3. Blend for a minute or so until you get a smooth hummus. Serve with fresh fruit for a delicious snack or dessert.
